‘Stunlock’ is an installation which documents an airplane bursting through cloud cover during its ascent. The work dismantles a 3 minute iPhone video, shot through the window of a commercial airliner.

The installation was commissioned to take place inside the medieval Castle Hedingham, which dates back to 1140. Highlighting the castle's tower-like structure and aerial perspectives, the project sheds light on an idiosyncratic aspect of its history: as an early example of technology crafted to elevate humans into the clouds.
