An exhibition showcasing the visual database which twins the Glows ‘LA,1620’ mixtape, created throughout it’s 7 year process. Part of this process was about creating inroads to composing and arranging sound which bypass established music theory, using the position of an unlearned amateur as an advantage.

All the imagery on display was used in the process of developing ways of constructing sound that rely on visual and spatial cognition. Each image is a form of experimental notation, having been used as a musical reference or to generate musical data in some way. Presented as a database, the images are grouped as chain reactions relating to the visual systems which re-appear throughout.
