The title of the work ‘Takeoff (Pressed)’ references the flattening effect caused by this process.


Like putting a video file through a flower press, any visual suggestion of a 3D scene in the frames gets ironed out. With each frame reduced down to a single colour layer, this compressed version sits somewhere in between a document of this experience and abstraction.
