‘Takeoff (Pressed)’ manipulates this original iPhone video, beggining by stripping it down into its raw frames. Through a meticulous process, the work scrutinises a momentary experience.
Using digital colour analysis, the most prevalent colour hue is identified within each frame. In each instance this colour hue is used to generate a block colour replica frame.
A full set of 4,320 unique colour frames are created and resequenced according to the original video. It’s this edited replica version of the original iPhone footage which is displayed in the installation.
